Opinion Club: This film is finished in our pantry because of the rotten reviews on the Internet written by others marciofili (like us) whose tones were enthusiastic. I declare now that I chose to review this movie because I am in totale disaccordo con le opinioni di tali gentiluomini (e anche perché il Mago Rosso si è prenotato le recensioni di tutti i film più recenti e più fighi).
Da un lato è vero che Carnosaur ha elementi decisamente marci e promettenti, infatti l'idea dietro al film è di per se spassosa: una ricercatrice talentuosa invece di far carriera e curare la propria collezione di dildi come fanno tutte le donne, decide che l'umanità è una dannazione per il pianeta e quindi dedica la sua vita alla distruzione del genere umano. Quale piano migliore se non quello di modificare geneticamente il DNA di pollo in modo che i consumatori partoriscano uova di dinosauro cosicché i dinosauri si diffondano di nuovo on earth and eat all the humans? The starting point is the invasion of small town and the mining operation adjacent to the research center of the hag.

Le scene poi non hanno alcun senso e si ha spesso la sensazione che l'ordine degli eventi sia casuale e non abbia alcuna importanza; probabilmente ciò è dovuto al produttore Roger Corman che voleva far uscire il film per forza prima di Jurassic Park.
In defenitiva lo spettatore rimane frustrato, perché la trama ridicola suggerisce tutto il tempo un film scanzonato e d'azione in stile Tremors per intenderci. Invece il regista e gli sceneggiatori hanno cercato di realizzare una cosa semi-seria infilandoci tematiche pseudo-ambintalistiche e presunti momenti drammatici che però entrano in rotta di collisione con l'aura di ridicolo che ha tutto il resto. Non parliamo poi del finale, che più a merda di così non si può e che sa tanto di: “Facciamo finire il film ora perché non abbiamo più soldi”!
Non capisco se nelle intenzioni della produzione questo film doveva rivaleggiare con Jurassic Park, o se piuttosto speravano di sfruttare la scia di entusiasmo per i dinosauri scatenata dalla creatura di Spielberg a metà anni 90. In ogni caso Carnosaur non si prende neanche le briciole perché è terribilmente noioso da vedere, anche se lo si considera nel suo contesto di film brutto. Delusione!
